In 1993, Greenlea's first factory was opened on the outskirts of Hamilton. The efficiency of this plant was widely praised.
A second factory soon followed. It opened in Morrinsville in 1997. The factories are still managed by the Egan family. Peter's son, James, became chairman of greenlea's board of directors in 2011. Tony Egan, a direct cousin of Peter, also returned to Greenlea after a 12-year absence. He became Managing Director. Meanwhile, Peter's two other children, Simon and Carolina, have also taken a seat on greenlea's executive board. A real family business.
