During these 120 days, the animals are carefully monitored by nutritionists. They keep a close eye on the growth and health of the animals and ensure that the animals lack nothing.


What do these Black Angus and Hereford cattle from Uruguay eat?

The diet of these cattle consists of the following grains: sorghum, sorghum flakes, corn, corn flakes, soybeans and fiber. The calves receive a higher amount of fiber and less high energy grains. As the cattle get older, this is reversed so that the diet fulfills the need. The cattle are slaughtered after 27 months. They then have the optimal weight and health to be able to supply the best quality meat.


How do I grill a South American steak?

The most important thing about grilling a steak is to buy quality online. You cannot make a steak of poor quality. So choose top quality Black Angus beef from, for example, Uruguay. Defrost the steak in the refrigerator, take it out of the freezer the day before and place it on a plate or in a bowl. Let the meat heat up outside the refrigerator an hour before grilling is done. Season the steaks with fresh pepper and salt to taste. Use a high heat and grill the steak alternately for 2-3 minutes per side to a core temperature of about 52-55 degrees Celsius. Let rest for 5 minutes and enjoy a delicious Black Angus steak.
