- 1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, finely chopped garlic, paprika powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- 2. Place the chicken cubes in a large bowl and pour half of the marinade over them.
- 3. Mix well to ensure all chicken pieces are coated with the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 4. Thread the marinated chicken cubes, pieces of red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and onion alternately onto metal or wooden skewers. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- 5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- 6. Place the shashlik skewers on the grill and grill for approximately 12-15 minutes, turning regularly, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are lightly charred and tender.
- 7. Remove the shashlik skewers from the grill and serve them warm. You can use the remaining marinade as a sauce to drizzle over the shashlik skewers when serving.
Tips:
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand to prevent them from burning on the grill.
- You can also add other vegetables to the shashlik skewers, such as mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, or zucchini, according to your preference.
