The founder of Oakridge BBQ started putting together rubs and sauces at the age of 10. No wonder these rubs and sauces have become so popular. In 2002 he started his first BBQ team. In their very first match, a "Perfect Score" of 180 points was immediately achieved in the Spareribs section. This promised a lot of good and in the 10 years that followed, a top 10 ranking was enforced on one of the events at every race. Few teams are as successful on the U.S. competition circuit.
Oakridge still makes her rubs herself and by hand on their own production company. Unfortunately, there is still little time to participate in the competitions, but by sponsoring about 75 competition teams they still contribute.
