To make a delicious pizza, preheat the BBQ to around 250°C. Place the stone in the barbecue from the beginning so it can heat up evenly. This prevents the stone from cracking. To avoid burning the bottom, it’s best to place the pizza stone on a platesetter. Sprinkle the stone with some flour or polenta to prevent the pizza from sticking.
Once the barbecue has reached the right temperature, place the pizza on the stone. The easiest way is with a pizza peel. With the lid closed, the pizza will be ready in 5 to 10 minutes.
