About the Wine
For this gem of a Nebbiolo, the grapes are predominantly sourced from the San Luigi vineyards, with the remainder coming from Monforte D'Alba. The color is breathtaking: crystal-clear and opalescent, remarkable for an unfiltered wine. The aromas are dominated by red fruit and a hint of spice. On the palate it is juicy, fresh, and above all elegant. So young and already drinking beautifully – it brings a tear to the eye!

About the Winery
The Chionetti winery was founded in 1912 by Giuseppe Chionetti, when he purchased part of the famous San Luigi vineyard. This vineyard lies within the municipality of Dogliani, in the DOCG Dolcetto area. From that moment on, the name Chionetti became inextricably linked with the Dolcetto grape, and vice versa. This is largely thanks to Quinto Chionetti, Giuseppe’s grandson, who is regarded both nationally and internationally as the pioneer and spiritual father of the Dogliani — and therefore Dolcetto — heritage. He was also forward-thinking in the remarkable respect he already showed for nature at that time.
Since 2013, Nicola, Quinto’s grandson, has been at the helm. Nicola has an immense passion for Dogliani. This is evidenced by the fact that he became the youngest mayor in Italian history, serving in Dogliani. He has also placed even greater focus on the Dolcetto vineyards to give this magnificent region the recognition it deserves.
Today, the winery produces three different Dogliani crus made from the Dolcetto grape. In addition, they produce a Barbera D’Alba, a Nebbiolo, a Riesling, and since 2015, three different Barolos. Each one is truly exceptional! Fun fact: all of their wines are unfiltered.
