THE TURKEYS

The turkeys are raised in a natural and animal-friendly way by our Dutch supplier in Heythuyzen. They grow up with plenty of peace and space. When the chicks are 5 weeks old, they are allowed to go outside. After that, they are moved to free-range pastures. There, the birds have half a hectare at their disposal, where they can roam freely in forests, orchards, and bushes. This gives the birds more fresh air and space, as well as more exercise. Additionally, the KellyBronze turkeys lay eggs only 10 weeks a year, following their natural breeding cycle. This allows the KellyBronze turkeys to grow in a relaxed environment.

GRAIN-FED

The turkeys are fed exclusively natural grain-based food. For every kilo they gain, the birds consume 30% more feed than a modern commercial turkey. In the end, the turkeys are hand-plucked and aged.  This results in tender meat with a fine texture.
