It is three times finer than the 6000 grit stone, resulting in extraordinary sharpness that polishes the edge to perfection and removes even the smallest micro burrs.

Development and Use

The HORL® Kagami is the result of combining the principles of the HORL® sharpener with the expertise of Japanese sharpening professionals. This stone is specially produced for HORL® in Japan and sets a new standard in sharpness. Use the ultra-fine whetstone for at least 5 minutes per side of the blade for the best result. Make sure to clean both the blade and the whetstone between sides to avoid abrasive particles scratching the mirrored edge.

Finishing

For the final fine finish, lightly moisten the HORL® Kagami and use it for another minute on each side of the knife. This provides the ultimate sharp edge, setting new standards both visually and measurably. The results are three times finer than traditional Japanese whetstones, resulting in exceptional sharpness and finish.
