It is three times finer than the 6000 grit stone, providing extraordinary sharpness that perfectly smooths the edge and removes even the smallest micro-burrs.

Development and Usage

The HORL® Kagami is the result of combining the principles of the HORL® sharpener with the expertise of Japanese sharpening specialists. Produced in Japan specifically for HORL®, it sets a new standard in sharpness. For best results, use the ultra-fine whetstone for at least 5 minutes per side of the blade. Clean both the blade and the stone between sides to prevent abrasive particles from scratching the mirrored edge.

Finishing

For the final fine finish, lightly moisten the HORL® Kagami and use it for an additional minute on each side of the blade. This achieves the ultimate sharp edge, both visually and measurably, setting new standards. The results are three times finer than traditional Japanese whetstones, resulting in exceptional sharpness and finish.

Compatibility and Use

The HORL® Kagami sharpening stone is compatible with HORL® 3 and HORL® 3 Pro, but not with HORL® 3 Cruise. Thanks to the innovative HORL Quick Lock system, you can quickly and easily swap sharpening wheels, making the replacement process fast and convenient.
