Boeuf Stroganoff

A traditional and widely praised dish. Delicious and easy to make at home.
Ingredients
- 1000 grams of thinly sliced beef steak
- 65 grams of flour
- 5 grams of paprika powder
- 3 grams of pepper
- 45 grams of butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
- 300 ml clear beef broth
- ½ teaspoon of mustard
- 45 ml of chili sauce
- 1 punnet of mushrooms, sliced
- 500 ml of sour cream
- A few sprigs of finely chopped parsley for garnish
- Cooked noodles or rice
- Add sea salt to taste
- Add freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation
- 1. Take a large bowl, add the flour, paprika powder, pepper, salt, and beef steak.
- 2. Cover tightly and shake well until everything is thoroughly mixed.
- 3. Remove the beef steak and sear it in batches in a large skillet with butter over high heat.
- 4. Cover and set aside to keep warm.
- 5. In the skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- 6. Add the beef steak back in and pour in the broth, mustard, chili sauce, and mushrooms, cover with a lid, and let simmer for an hour.
- 7. Just before serving, stir in the sour cream and increase the flame slightly. Do not let it boil!
- 8. Serve with noodles or rice and garnish with some chopped parsley.
