Preparation

Here's how you prepare this recipe!

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection oven) or 220°C (standard oven). Make sure the rack is placed in the middle of the oven.
  • 2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  • 3. Rub the drumsticks with olive oil and generously sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • 4. In a bowl, mix paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, and dried rosemary.
  • 5. Evenly sprinkle the spice mix over the drumsticks, making sure all pieces are well covered.
  • 6. Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a greased baking dish.
  • 7. Bake the drumsticks in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 75°C.
  • 8. Remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • 9. Serve the roasted chicken drumsticks with your favorite side dishes such as mashed potatoes, vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Tips:

  • Always check the internal temperature of the drumsticks with a meat thermometer to ensure they are fully cooked.
  • For extra crispiness, you can put the drumsticks under the grill at the end of the baking time.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices to taste, such as cayenne pepper for a bit of heat or smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
