Spicy spareribs in Asian-style
Asian-style spareribs. Very popular and tasty. Consider 6 hours of marinating.


For 4 people

1500 grams spareribs
125 ml honing
80 ml tomato ketchup
60 ml soy sauce sweet
30 ml hoisin sauce
15 ml olive oil
3 cloves garlic crushed
10 grams finely chopped peeled fresh ginger
7 grams red chili powder


1) Take a glass dish and mix the honey, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, hoisin sauce, garlic, olive oil, fresh ginger and chili powder well.
2) Place the spareribs in dish or baking dish and pour the honey mixture over it, note: on both sides! Save some of the marinade!
3) Cover with plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for at least 6 hours or all night.
4) Preheat the BBQ to 125° and divide it for indirect cooking. Put a bowl of water in it against dehydration.
5) Put a saucepan over medium heat and add the remaining marinade and keep it warm.
6) Cook the spare ribs, the cooking time is about 3.5 hours. The spare ribs should be nice and golden brown and a bit sticky.
7) Regularly lubricate with the marinade from the saucepan.
8) Serve with, for example, white rice and mixed lettuce.
