Languedoc Pinot Noir, fruity and somewhat lighter wine. Less powerful, less fruit and somewhat rustic. Perfect with more elegant game dishes and poultry, but also with Boeuf Bourgignon and other stews. Also very good to combine with pork, such as pork tenderloin, rack of pork and even with spare ribs.

About this product
OVEN THE WINERY: Domaine Luc Pirlet has been located in the Languedoc since 1995. It is the dream come true of Luc Pirlet, who gave his name and has now been succeeded as owner by Christian Cholot, both Belgian.
Long-term contracts with local winegrowers allow them to monitor the quality of the wines from vineyard to ready wine, and make adjustments where necessary.
Both Luc Pirlet and Christian Cholot are passionate with a desire for perfection and are concerned with quality for the 21st century, with an eye on the market.
By using modern vinification techniques, calling on skilled oenologists and dedicated cellar masters, Luc Pirlet has all the assets to realize his ambition.
VINEYARD AND REGION: The vineyards are located in the old Cathar country between Narbonne and Limoux towards the Pyrenees, several plots with a wide variety of soil types provide a wide palette of aromas. Lower plots are warmer and provide Mediterranean richness, while higher and therefore cooler vineyards provide fruit with fresh acidity and finesse.
VINIFICATION: Alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration for about 3 weeks in large vats. Pneumatic pressing and aging in oak barrels. Malo-lactic fermentation in barrel. One third new barrels, one third barrels of one wine and one third barrels of two wines.
ALCOHOL: 13.5%
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14-16 degrees
CLOSING: Cork
GRAPES: Pinot Noir
SMELL: Aromas of cherries, strawberries and spices on the nose.
TASTE: Spicy rural red wine full of red fruit, licorice, balanced structure with delicate tannins and a fine acidity in the aftertaste.
SERVE WITH: Delicious with grilled chicken, duck and other poultry.
