Truffle Herb Cheese Villa Truffo

Villa Truffo is a thermized cheese with Italian black truffle in the dairy. The black truffles come from the Italian forests of Monti Sibillini. The truffle is a member of the mushroom family and has a unique and distinct flavor.

The combination of Dutch farm cheese and the intense flavor of black truffle is outstanding! Villa Truffo is particularly creamy in texture thanks to the short maturation period (8 weeks), but bold in flavor due to the truffle pieces! A true luxury farm cheese.

The cheese comes from the Verweij family farm in Polsbroek. The three brothers took over the farm from their parents in 2009, but they still step in whenever needed. It is truly a family business where knowledge has been passed down over the years.

On the farm, there are on average 400 cows that are milked every day. The cows spend as much time as possible outside in the meadow, and every day, cheese is made from the milk. In addition to this Truffle Cheese, the Verweij family also makes Villa Chili Fumé and Villa Segreto.
